Kitchen Porn

Kitchen Porn is a phrase often used by me and those close to me. It quite literally is me cooing over china or cooking wear I can't afford.
I was in Jarrolds yesterday and fell in love with this set from Portmeirion...

I am smitten :)

On the subejct of kitchen porn, whilst in Jarrolds, I fell upon something I have been lusting after for quite some time, I joked and said "this is what I'm saving up for"

I have wanted this gorgeous purple casserole dish by Le Creuset for quite some time now but at £145 a pop I think I shall have to keep on wishing.

Red Polka Dot Love

This year I have absolutely fallen in love with red and polka dots. This season I have the red dress below for work (I am secretly toying with whether to buy the blue one too) and I recently missed out on a red and a blue polka dot mac on Fashion Union which were reduced to £7 each (I was going to have both colours, so gutted!)

So in search for these macs I missed out on or a suitable replacement I came across some gorgeous other red polka dot items and decided to dedicate this post to all things red polka dot.

I found loaddddsss of kitchen things that come in red polka dot and I want them all.
I have a bit of a red theme in my kitchen already, so I am now making it my mission to add lots of these things to my kitchen hehe...

Yesterday...

...was such a lovely day. For once I had a Bank Holiday off work and I actually relaxed.

I watched every episode of Sophie Dahl's new TV show whilst the rain beat down outside.
I had been longing for a day at home wrapped up in a big jumper while it rained and finally I got it.

Once the rain had cleared up a bit, I ventured out to buy food.

Along my way I saw something beautiful...

...and something funny...

I also found an amazing book, just the sort of faith restorer I needed to remind me I am not just a stressed girl in a suit. It's called "The Thrift Book: How to Live Well and Spend Less" by India Knight and (I've not gotten too far through it yet) it's fantastic.

Hina Matsuri

Today is Hina Matsuri, the Japanese "Dolls Festival" or "Girls Festival". Its a day to celebrate girls. Thanks to Etsy's post about it today on their blog I remembered learning about this day at school. Just wanted to honour the day by sharing a few pretty pictures.

Austria

Just a short one today!

I came across this beautiful place in Austria.

And now I want to go there!
